Ryan Altman is the founder and principal designer of M2Develop, a Fort Lauderdale studio for luxury yacht interiors and select residential and refit work. Over more than a decade, including seven years as the U.S. designer for Ferretti Group America and working across its family of brands, he has shaped more than fifty yachts, from new builds to refits, for shipyards, brokers and owners. Raised in the industry and mentored by renowned yacht designer Marty Lowe, Ryan runs each project end to end.

M2Develop exists because most projects don't just need drawings. They need someone to manage and develop the design until it actually works, for the yard building it and for the owner who’ll live aboard. That's the name. Manage, Design, Develop. Much of the job is translation: between European craftsmanship and American expectations, between a drawing and what a production line can really build, between what a client asks for at the first meeting and how they'll use the boat once they own it.

A renowned yacht designer with more than four decades in the industry, Marty Lowe has shaped interiors for Feadship, Sanlorenzo, Ferretti and Benetti, among others. Owners return to her build after build, and the yards have trusted her work for a generation. She has always designed for the way people actually live, the instinct she spent years teaching Ryan. She is his mentor and now his collaborator: two independent studios, each with its own name and its own clients, taking on select projects together.
